Call for Presenter Proposals
Planning for the 2026 Ohio Emergency Medicine Residents' Assembly is underway, and we would love to include you! The event planning Task Force is now accepting proposals for 15 to 20-minute presentations on both Clinical topics and Life After Residency topics, such as interviewing, choosing the right practice setting, risk management, AI, financial planning, wellness, and more.
Have an idea that would benefit EM residents? We encourage you to apply to present!
Applications and CVs must be submitted by April 2!
2026 Ohio ACEP Poster Competition
Call for Posters - Ohio ACEP Poster Competition 2026
Ohio ACEP is now accepting poster abstracts for consideration for the 2026 Ohio ACEP Poster Competition. This year’s poster competition will be 100% virtual utilizing a showcase portal on the PheedLoop platform.
Any topics related to emergency medicine will be considered.

How to submit an abstract
- Complete the online submission form.
- Upload your abstract for consideration (incomplete submissions will not be
considered). - Authors will be notified if their abstract was accepted by the end of June and provided instructions to upload their material to the system for judging.
Winners will be asked to present their poster presentation using PowerPoint in-person at the Residents' Assembly & Medical Student Symposium on August 12.

Resident Representative & Councillor - 2026 Election
Interested in serving the Chapter as the Resident Representative to the Board of Directors or as the Resident Councillor?
The Resident Board Member and Councillor will be elected by ballot by majority vote of the Chapter's resident members in attendance at the Chapter's Residents' Assembly, on August 12, 2026.
To run for either of these leadership positions, candidates must be an Ohio ACEP/EMRA member and should plan to attend Ohio ACEP's Residents' Assembly on August 12.

Resident Representative to the Ohio ACEP Board of Directors
The Resident Representative to the Ohio ACEP Board will serve a one-year term, which will begin at the close of the 2026 Residents' Assembly and will end at the 2027 Residents' Assembly. Ohio ACEP Board members meet four times per year.
The Resident Representative to the Ohio ACEP Board:
- Gives voice to the interests and concerns of Ohio's EM residents
- Is a voting member of the Ohio ACEP Board of Directors
- Serves as a Board liaison to the Ohio ACEP Candidate/Young Physician Committee
- Assists as a member of the Residents' Assembly and Medical Student Symposium Task Force
Resident Councillor
Ohio ACEP is also seeking a resident member interested in representing Ohio ACEP on ACEP Council, the representative body made up of ACEP's 53 chartered chapters which meets once a year for two days prior to the College’s annual Scientific Assembly (ACEP26). ACEP Council 2026 is scheduled to be held in Chicago, IL on October 3 & 4.
The Council votes on resolutions, elects members to the National ACEP Board of Directors, and ensures grassroots involvement in the democratic decision-making process.
The Resident Councillor:
- Represents Ohio's emergency physicians at ACEP Council
- Serves as the resident member of Ohio's Council delegation
- Votes on Council resolutions and ACEP Board candidates
- Learns how to make a positive difference through medical society governance
All Candidates should plan to register and attend Ohio ACEP's Residents' Assembly on August 12, 2026.
